Build
Developers build alongside our team at hackathons, in-person events, and virtual builder sessions. Current focus: Seed Protocol, PermaPress, and the early-stage decentralized AI stack.
Where journalists, communications professionals, academics, and knowledge workers formulate new relationships with the technologies reshaping their work — led by veterans of the transition.
A reskilling infrastructure and an open-source toolchain, run by a nonprofit that's been at this for five years. Three loops — build, learn, research — one network.
Journalist-led. Practitioner-owned. Three loops feed one another — each cohort feeds the tools, the tools feed the next cohort's curriculum, and credentialed practitioners populate the network.

Cohort training for small teams at nonprofits, newsrooms, and mission-driven orgs — plus individual knowledge workers. Participants leave with portable operating systems built on Obsidian and AI workflows that keep human judgment in the loop of production.
Experimental sprints across what our founders work in — decentralized AI, factchecking protocols, hyperlocal knowledge systems. The throughline is supporting journalists, local media, and independent news producers.
Not locked behind prod. Not stuck on a whiteboard. Live, open, ready to play with.
Decentralized publishing protocol on Ethereum/EAS — permanent attestation, version control onchain, indexed across every Seed-compatible client. A public good. No commercial layer, no walled garden.
seedprotocol.ioThe publishing client built on Seed Protocol — offline-first, multi-chain storage (IPFS + Arweave), and no business dependency between you and the work you put into it. Commercial launch targets Q4 2026.
permapress.xyzThe original Factland project — decentralized, crowd-sourced factchecking through gamified protocols. A multi-year track record; the platform that grounded the 501(c)(3) work from the start.
Long-term R&D. Scope-doc pending. The throughline: infrastructure that lets Factland and the practitioner network avoid lab dependency over the long horizon. If NSF TechAccess advances, scope-doc work accelerates.
Newsletter, community access, cofounder conversations, monthly AMA call.
Individual practitioners building first-time relationships with emergent tech.
Async support plus scheduled office hours for practitioners building independently.
Self-guided building of decentralized tech stacks, OS systems + human-centric AI workflows
6 week custom workshop for non-profits & mission-driven orgs to learn human-centric AI workflows with expert guides.
Internal teams at nonprofits, newsrooms, and mission-driven orgs.
60 years of journalism, 20 of academia, 10 in decentralization, plus the AI development that followed.

LinkedInAll four built JournoDAO's foundation. After half a decade running it as a sister organization to Factland, the two consolidated under the 501(c)(3) in Q2 of 2026. What emerged is a communal container for building, learning, and research at the intersection of emergent technology and the craft of communicating.
